Privacy Statement:

The Student Evaluation of Teaching Website has been created by the Office of Development at the IUPUI Testing Center. We are committed that the information you provide will be safeguarded and remain confident to the fullest extent of appropriate federal, state and local laws.

The site is maintained and runs within the Testing Center, with system level access available to only the Testing Center administration.

How can you be sure that your privacy is safe guarded?

• Our system uses a double blind system to ensure that even if one were to gain access to the databases, the student table, which is used only to note if you have taken a particular evaluation, is not linked in any way to the evaluation data.

• Log Files are also limited only to keeping the neccessary data in order to detect attempts to infiltrate the system and detect errors within the website.

• Open answer questions are randomized in order before displaying them to the teachers and staff

• All evaluations are aggregated when given to a department. The teaching staff cannot look at identifiable evaluations.

• No inquiry can be made regarding a specific course during the time when evaluations are being filled out.

What does this mean to you?

• It means you have our assurance that the information you submit is safeguarded to the fullest extent possible.
• This information is safer than if you had submitted it through standard paper means.
